Early Childhood Resource Center's Training Policies

  • Pre-registration is required for all classes.
  • Registration will be accepted after the deadline via telephone, if seats are available. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available and trainer approves. Payment must be received before credit will be given.
  • Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment or weather conditions. Class cancelations will come via email or the Ohio Professional Registry's notification system and/or an ECRC Training and Referral Specialist.
  • In the event of inclement weather, all individuals registered for an in-person class will receive a notification, which will be sent to the email address listed in the OCCRRA account used to register for the class. Whenever possible, this notification will be sent at least three hours before the training class is scheduled to begin. Participants will be contacted about a reschedule date. If questionable weather develops during the three-hour window before the class is scheduled to begin, feel free to contact the Early Childhood Resource Center to check for updates. Accommodations will be made to find replacement training for participants as needed.
  • No children are permitted in training classes at any time. This distracts the participants as well as the trainer and takes away from the learning experience for everyone.
  • We no longer provide in-service forms. All credit will be awarded in the Ohio Professional Registry.
  • Please note that your OPIN number is required at the time of registration. To register, visit https://registry.occrra.org. Sign into your account and click the Find Training button on the bottom left side. You can search by county, instructor, title, or training ID for the date range you are interested in.

Early Childhood Resource Center's Virtual Training Policies

  •  Participants will receive an email at least 2 days prior to the scheduled training date with a virtual link and how to join the training, and trainer contact information.
  • The virtual session will open 10 minutes before the listed starting time.
  • Admittance to the session will close 10 minutes after the session has started.
  • You must log into each session using a device that has a video camera and a microphone. We strongly recommend that you use a tablet or computer.
  • During every session, your video camera must be turned on. Your image must be visible during the entire session. If you must briefly step away, turn your camera back on upon your return.
  • In order to receive credit for attendance, your engagement is required, verbally and/or through written chat.
  • If you require special accommodations, for a virtual training session, please contact the instructor before the session begins.
  • Attendance is taken at the beginning, middle and end of each session.
  • Please remain logged in and visible in the session until the instructor informs you that you are free to leave.
  •  The instructor has the ability to deny credit to any participant who doesn't follow the policies. Participants who will not recieve credit will be notified by email within 24 hours.
  • A training evaluation will be emailed to you following the training, or the day after the session. Once your evaluation has been verified as complete, credit for attendance will be submitted. If you have not received credit for your session within a week after the session, please call an ECRC Training and Referral Specialist.
